Since I came to USA as an immigrant, I found TD Bank a reliable bank. They have what I need. So I opened 2 Savings account ( 1 for me and the other when my husband and I had a joint account) a checking account. I had a safety deposit box at 1 time. And even invested at your TDAmeritrade . Used mobile deposits, counter transactions, etc. Loved TDBank when I was living in NY,Pennsylvania and Delaware !

But times had been challenging! My husband died of heart attack. I decided to move temporarily to Hongkong.

There was a manager in Wilmington, DE, who offered me to have a premier checking account.

I agreed not fully understanding what would I suffer. I'm am not a rich person. Just usually earning enough income to survive. But I am always working . I used TD bank for direct deposits of my income. Usually , I have 2-3 part- time jobs. Even when I was receiving a weekly allowance from my husband, I still worked!

I left USA to live temporarily in Hongkong and in there, I work as aTeacher, Tutor and Translator.

Didn't have proper access on internet. It's only using my cellphone on those few times I logged- on on my TD app.

I called TD Bank Customer service , from my VoIP ( magic jack) so not yo cost long distance charges, but line had always been with terrible reception. So , the charges of $25 monthly, I never noticed. Away from USA, been just so busy earning little to survive.

Returning back in USA, staying in Collegeville, the nearest branch is West main Street,Trooper, in PA.

It was a staff, named Isaiah who attended to me.

I can sense he was not that sort of helpful guy.

I inquired if he could check since TD bank had been charging me with the amount of $25.

He looked at his desk top.

He said," October... But in July ... And even in June , 2017, there had been charges of this... As far as a can see , you'd been deducted of this".

At first,i thought, I would ask him to change the checking premier account to the regular checking account but the way he said things, I said, I will just close that checking account.

Your staff, was not at all helpful to me offer alternatives . Of course, I only left USD 3,000 + to both of my existing account.

I asked him many times to help me with my problem, but he was firm on not helping.

I remember that this is the branch where I opened my account in 2009. I did not even know that this was same bank where I had a previous account with Commerce Bank ( now merged?).

I am a US citizen. I am returning back to live here. I need thisTD Bank accounts, but with the cold, unhelpful, way that Isaiah handled me, across his table, begging him that please help me have back the money that had been charged to me, which is a huge sum , for a poor lady like me, he was not that guy to help.

Not the kind of a good customer service staff to be given a job!

So, I decided to close both my checking and savings accounts!

My daughter, who drove me there, was in the car.( I don't have a line and wifi, outside the house. I texted her , upon suffering this very sad news, that I was not aware of, that I was losing money from TDbank charges that I was not aware of.).

Anyway, I left the bank.

On the car, I remembered something, I called that same branch. A woman, I think name is Leslie.

I asked for Isaiah, who was no longer available.

I said, " I was at your branch a few minutes ago. And I closed my accounts. I wonder if the waived amount , of $50 was in my account already.

She replied " I was the one who closed your account, and we can not give you more money now "!.

Whhoooah!

Did I want money from any of them?

I was merely asking of my money.

Was the$50, deposited already before I closed my account!

.?

I think, this woman , should learn how to use proper words when speaking to distraught customers.

I was disappointed. I had been charged, of maybe totalling to USD1,200.

I don't know exact amount I lost from the charges as Isaiah, didn't finish looking the months I was charged. So I'd only based it on that time I agreed to have a premier checking account. That, I did not understand, what is having a maintaining balance daily of US$2,500.

I made sure I had US$3,000 in that account. So, I do not know.

I tgen called Marsh Rd, Wilmington, Delware.

A very nice staff, Allen spoke to me and suggested to call 1-88****-****.

I called at night time.

The lady who answered can not access my account. No offer to call me in case the account can be accessed.

Just advised me to go to a branch.

( That's the same advise when two months ago, in Hongkong, I called TD Bank from my magic jack, inquiring why I have $25 charges.

Upon arriving Philadelphia, i went to a branch. I was face to face to a cold uncaring Isaiah, at Trooper branch. This is a type of guy who could not be bothered to offer help nor suggestions. That resulted to my closing my accounts.

Now, that I am returning back to live and work, I need TDBank. It's always convenient for me to use them. I had American Bank but did not like their online banking .

This time I had very bad experienceswith TD, I have to probably try to keep away from them. I am just a small potato. Do not have millions to deposit. But one thing is certain, I always work and have income. And I use direct deposits to my bank.

Is this just what you call American customer service that always suck?

It really sucks.

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

TD Bank Pros: Long hours to customers.

TD Bank Cons: Rude lack of customer service, Poor communication.
