Secaucus NJ branch tellers service is HORRIBLE

I was trying to open a checking account at the td branch in secaucus NJ (1262 Paterson Plank Rd, Secaucus, NJ 07094) While I was waiting for one of the advisor I notest that the tellers were not busy with clients so I was asking them very politely a few questions about opening an account. They responded to me in a very mean way and made me feel like why should I bank here? A lady by the name Beta gave me a very bad attitude and she was very rude to me I just left the bank without seeing the advisor and I ended up opening my account in a different branch with a much better behavior from tellers. At the new branch I mentioned this bad experience with the branch manager and I was told that this is not the first time that they get complaints on the tellers from the secaucus nj branch. Td bank is not a bad choice but depending what branch you are choosing. Good luck!

No toll free umber for customers who travel overseas

During my last travel overseas someone used my credit card number and charged 1500$. Fortunately I noticed. You cannot call any of the toll free numbers from overseas. The numbers that were listed online to call collect did not work. When calling the a regular customer service number I was on hold once for 30 minutes and once for 45 min. although my credit card was cancelled. No new credit card was issued while I was on vacation. Upon my return to the US I asked for a replacement card in the branch. I was given a temporary debit card that did not work for automatic business deductions. My chip card was supposed to be ordered. 10 days later I still did not have a functioning card to pay my business expenses. It turned out the chip card was never ordered. One routine bank problem and Td bank failed to solve the problems three times in a row. Not a dependable bank for businesses.

Td Bank - Mortgage Review from Warwick, Rhode Island

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I have both a checking account and a mortgage with TD Bank. They consistently charge excessive overdraft fees when the transactions are pending. Additionally, I keep getting charged $11.00 miscellaneous fees they cannot explain what the fees are for when I call. My mortgage payments are on time, so they are not late fees. This month I was charged a miscellaneous fee of $105.00 and there is not explanation of why the charge is there. I am anxious to hear what their excuse is this time. I am very disappointed with this bank.

Overdraft Fees

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Yet another ridiulously high overdraft fee! The "discretionary overdraft protection" (at their discretion of course) is another way for TD Bank to use "customer service" to extort outrageous fees from their hard working customers.

I was charged $35.00 for an overdraft that was less than $6.00.

Then I was charged another $35.00 for another overdraft that happened only because they took the first $35.00 out of mt account EVEN THOUGH that fee was not on my statment when I checked and transferred money to cover the first overdraft.

TD bank is NOT customer friendly at all!!! To sum it all up, TD Bank charges outrageously high fees, does not post them to your account in a timely manner and then charges more fees to cover the original fees!

Hasn't it occurred to you that if you keep an adequate amount of money in your account you won't be charged an overdraft fee? You can decline overdraft "protection" on your bank's website. Those financially responsible do not need this "service." This is not rocket science.

Td Bank Customer Care Review

We have been dealing with TD Bank Mortgage for over 2 MONTHS. I cannot get anyone on the phone, no returned phone calls, and no returned emails. They have delayed this process at every turn. Our first processor was fired and we were NEVER told. We found out through our local branch. A bunch of apes at the zoo could do a better job of getting a mortgage together. Stay away. Far, far away!

Td Bank - Manager Review from Allentown, Pennsylvania

I transferred 25.00 and the online app let me do it but they tell me I didn't have it. Well I deposited a 4000.00 check to cover it but these banks take the debits first and credits last. That 25.00 cost me 500.00 in fees. I called and asked if they would work with me and that I have been banking with them for over 10 years. The forgien manager was rude to me and didn't work with me at all and on top of that insulted me.

Td Bank - Business Checking Account Review from Baltimore, Maryland

I was told I had to go to a local branch to get verified after I was locked out of my online account. This was because I had no transactions for 60 days? How convenient is this? Now I've waiting here for nearly 40 minutes just to get my online account unlocked so I can pay my TD bank credit card!! Isn't there some other way they can verify over the phone like most banks? Maybe they should go to the last transaction instead of 60 days. My time is valuable and this is extremely inconvenient!! If USAA had a business checking account I would just withdrawal all my money today!!!

Cheque Frauds

I have recently issued a cheque from TD bank to a moving company for moving my goods. But i was really surprised to see that the moving company had presented the cheque twice for deposit and TD bank processed the cheque twice with out any checking or validation. When i contacted customer service they told me that this is the first time they have encountered such issues . Nearest branch is now 120 miles from my place and i have to wait while they look into the matter which is clearly a failure on their part. Really not what i have signed up for. Really pissed off .

TD Ban: MOST convenient way to STEAL from you

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I would give NO stars but this site demands one to publish this review so please disregard it completely. This bank robs you using overdraft charges.

Pending transactions are the new way to rob hard working families out of hundreds of dollars a year. We are only in the month of June and so far my statement has a tally of over $700 in overdraft charges. Basically, if i purchased 7 items under $10 with $5 dollars in my account knowing that my husbands direct deposit goes in the next day, TD will let a pending transaction go through right before 8 pm when you blink thinking your good till the next day allowing you no time rush to the bank to replenish the funds to then hit you $35 on each transaction for a whopping $245 because a Gas station charge goes through that late in the day. If you cant clearly see that as a scam then they must really consider hard working struggling Americans to be the biggest idiots on the planet.

That's how they value their customers as they claim to be the MOST convenient bank to Conveniently steal your hard earned cash with their sneaky tactics. So much so that they recently changed how transactions are processed to cover themselves. I recently graduated nursing school and my poor husband has struggled working hard to support his two young daughters while supporting me through school. We didn't think that we would go through this so many times just to realize unless you had your banking app open and refreshed everyday at 8 pm with your spouse standing at the ATM to deposit pennies; that would be the safest way to prevent the Overdraft Scam.

Please do your best to bank anywhere else and save yourselves the stress and trauma that my families endured dealing with TD bank. They don't value customers and their favorite line is "I'm Sorry" while the rob you blind.

Most Convenient Bank to Handle All Their Screw Ups!!!

I have a small business account and personal account at TD and I have never experienced so many problems and poor customer service. Obviously this bank does not train their employees and you are given mis-information and accounts opened incorrectly. When you have to call service it is usually a 10-15 min wait. I have been banking for over 30 years and never had a problem with a wire transfer coming to me until TD Bank! My Branch Manager sends me to customer service (to wait 10-15 mins) and then customer service sends me back to my branch. A better name for this bank is Bozo Banking and their tagline is "We are the most convenient bank so we are open to fix our screw ups!"

TDBANK BILLPAY IS DOWN

Six years ago, when I started my accounts at TDBank, it truly was America's Most Convenient Bank. Instant phone service, knowledgeable bankers, no long lines. Now that is no longer true. *hone calls take twenty minutes, employee turnover is constant, and the bankers' desks are mostly empty. But as of this morning, Billpay is down! I'm trying to check when and if the payments I set up last week are going to hit, and there is no way to find out. The window where billpay should appear won't show up! How convenient! I've emailed them, but they take 24 hours (at least) for a response. Even more convenient.

Employee Stole My Account Info -- I'm Penalized

I'm sure I've got you all beat: TD shut down my account while I was on a cruise ship, abroad. I had to pay $5/minute to talk to their customer service people to learn that one of their employees stole a bunch of account info (including mine) and that they were opening a new account for me. Didn't seem like I had a choice. What happened? Well, then they treated it like a new account -- holding deposits, bouncing checks, etc. Complained and promises, promises but no action. Closing account at the end of the month. Who needs this grief?

FRAUD AGAINST MYSELF? WORST BANK EVER!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
TD Bank - FRAUD AGAINST MYSELF? WORST BANK EVER!

I have been a loyal customer to TD Bank for about 5 years. I do alot of business online and always charge my debit card for large purchases.

3 months ago, they flagged my account and froze my funds. I called them and they said they had to send AN EMAIL to their fraud department so they can lift the restriction. In my mind I'm thinking sending a carrier pigeon from wwi would get the message there faster! I mean, let's take a minute to really digest what is happening here...I am in the middle of making a large business transaction, they freeze my funds because their systems are too inadequate to tell 1.

Has this customer shopped on this site before? 2. Has he ever spent this dollar amount? To both questions, it is a bold, YES.

Now, I may lose out on this great deal because I have to wait 2 hours since this mysterious fraud department doesn't have phone service!!! I couldn't believe this, but I accepted it and later that day my card was working again. Today, I try to make another purchase on the same website, and the same exact thing happens, only this time, when I call, the agent insists there is nothing wrong with my account and there are no flags or limitations. I hang up and try the charge again...DENIED.

I call them once more..this time I say, "look, you're not going anywhere until this transaction is finalized". The rep stays on the phone after I try the charge 3 times! And STILL he does not see anything on his system...Finally, he says, "let me send an email to our fraud department, JUST IN CASE there is something I can't see on my system" ARE YOU *** KIDDING ME?? How disorganized, how incompetent can these people and their systems be??

I let him do what this parasite has to do and I hang up. 3 hours ago, I decide to take my 3 kids, all under the age of 6 to Walmart, as always, you go in for dish soap and walk out with a cart full of everything..but the soap. The kids each have a toy, they are anxious to open them; I finally reach the cashier and swipe my card...D-E-C-L-I-N-E-D!!! I was in total shock!!

I said no, this can't be, let me try again..the line is growing and I am declined once more! I think quickly and say, wait a minute let me try the ATM. Well, to my surprise only a receipt prints and it reads "Suspect Fraud". I am completely appalled by this!

I am a fraud, against myself! I do so much business with these people, so many funds pass through all 6 of my accounts for me to be slapped in the face with this embarrassing occurrence. I go back to the cashier, apologize to the people on line and say look, void the transaction, I have to come back, unless, you take checks? She says yes, no problem!

And OF COURSE she puts the check through the machine and it too, comes back...DECLINED. I immediately call these incompetent fools and give them an earful, I am not ever going to give my business to this bottom of the totem pole bank who can't even afford raised letters on their debit cards for their beloved customers! As I was on the phone with the rep I made sure she heard me tell everyone on line, TO NOT USE THESE AMMETERS UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!

AND I WILL CONTINUE TO TELL MY STORY AND DISCOURAGE EVERYONE FROM USING THEM!! TD BANK SUCKS AND EVERYONE SHOULD STAY FAR, FAR AWAY!!!!!!

This worries me. TD made me answer 4 Experian type questions to secure my account before they answered my questions.

I am already a customer.

Why don't they ask what other banks ask? Other banks don't ask third party CRA questions!

I started a small business and used Td bank. Here's an example of what they were doing: I might have $500. In my acct and 4 checks would go through totaling $550. td would charge $35. Overdraft for each of the 4 checks then put them back through the next day and charge another $35. For the one that actually over drafted the account and clear the ones that should have cleAred the day before. This went on for months and thousands of dollars later and me almost having to file bankrupt, I finally got out and went to a credit union. Still trying to get out of the mess Td put me in (almost there). I was only with Td bank for 6-months DO NOT USE TD BANK. The banking industry should shut them down. They're crooks
