Call them on the phone?....dont even think about it

Their "legendary service " is a joke...if you have to call for service get a good book to read while you wait....and wear earplugs so you dont have to listen to a painful looped message about how great they are!

Not America's most convenient bank

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Unlike any evolved bank, TD still makes you call in to register your card for global travel. With their long hold times (every time) it is not 'convenient'. This time I held for over 15 mins. In 3 mins, I registered all my other cards with their competitors. And don't be fooled, they have also reduced their branch hours. If you want cheap and cheerful, than they are your bank. If you have any level of 'service' needs they are in the dark ages. What's amazing is their Stone Age systems drives consumers to higher cost channels - branch and call center. They have definitely slipped and continue to reinforce their lack of convenience at every step of the way.

TD Card Services

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I was an excellent customer paid in full and current, never late or missing a payment, and then they did the unthinkable. I had an OPTIONAL annual credit card renewal coming up and did not respond to their messages about this.

Their messages to me were very vague and seemed like a solicitation rather than something important or urgent. If it was for a credit card renewal, then say so and I'd decline. They did not make me aware of why they had called or messaged (first mistake of many). Instead of simply cancelling the card when I didn't respond, which is the right thing to do, they put a collection on it for the optional annual fee!

What *** do such a thing. I had them send a retraction to the credit bureaus and an official apology letter to me, which they have done. Whoever was responsible for this should be fired. This breaks the trust I once had with this company.

I was considering using other services they provide but now forget it. Be wary of them, and look for hidden fees on your bills. Check them very carefully. This Canadian company might be hurting financially and looking to get money any way they can.

Disgraceful. Oh Canada, indeed! They don't even admit to being being a Canadian company if you ask, until you insist they tell you. Embarrassing.

Look it up, they are, as in Toronto Dominion. How about Totally Disgusting in this situation?!

TD Bank is very, very lax in letting the customer know any new changes that occur when you have an account(s) with them. It’s not very good customer service but, they don’t seem to care about the customer.

Starting to take my accounts to a different bank. Had enough *** with them.

I have a SouthWest Rapid Rewards Card that I had planned on closing.

Td Bank - Bank Teller Review

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I have a complaint regarding a lady with braided hair at TD Cottman branch located on the corner of Cottman Ave and Bustleton Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19149 on March 5th, 2017 between 6:55pm - 7:25pm.  (I now found out her name is Jackie Brown later from the store manager because she refused to give me her name at the time.) I got to the drive thru at 6:55pm, on lane 3.  Only two lanes were open, lane 2 and lane 3 and each lane had 3 cars.  At 6:58pm, lane 2 was moving faster so I moved to lane 2 with 2 cars ahead of me and there are still the same 3 cars in lane 3.  I made sure both the green lights were still on, on both lane 2 and lane 3 before changing lanes.  I got to the tube station at 7:15pm, it took the teller 20 mins to service the two car ahead of me on lane 2.  (I figure the service was slow and I didn't mind, it may be due to a new teller because I haven't seen her before and the usual teller have changed job to another bank.)  I sent my tube as the third/last car was pulling up to lane 3.  We were the only two cars left. The teller told me she will take my deposits then a lady with the long braids hair just came out of nowhere and said I have to come back tomorrow at 830am and she sent the tube back to me.  When I got the tube back, I realize it was not deposit.  I told her I was here at 655pm and she didn't care as they both walked off to the back.  I must have pressed the send button by accident instead of the call button because the tube station was closed and I still have the tube in my possession.  After waiting a few minutes with no one in the front of the service window, I was thinking they both were closing up since she said everything was shut down thats why she didnt take my deposits.  So thinking kindly, I got the car in lane 3's attention to let him know, they are probably gone for the day because we were both sitting in our cars for a few minutes with no one at the window.  He told me, they are servicing him.  I got very upset, why are they servicing him when they told me everything was shut down.  I waited another few minutes, when they got back to the front, they just ignored me and continued to service the car on lane 3 which that transaction took over 5 minutes.  I finally got the teller to speak with me, I asked why was that car service and not me?  I even got to the tube station prior to him and I definitely was here before 7pm, the braided lady got on the mic and kept speaking over me, accusing me of arriving after 7pm and when the teller was saying something to her, she told the teller, I must have circle around.  None of these accusations are true.  I did not go anywhere but waited.  I ask the teller for her name and when the teller was talking to me, the braided hair lady just turned the teller's mic off.  This got me extremely upset.      Please have the cameras review, I was there before 7pm, at 6:55pm exactly with both the green lights still on.  I waited over 20 minutes to get to the station and had no service, then I waited another 5 minutes to just tell them I got the tube and can't send it back, then another 5 minutes for the braid hair lady to talk over me thru the speaker and making false accusations.  I am outraged at this kind of service and how can TD bank hired such unprofessional.  I am requesting the manager and upper manager to please contact me regarding this complaint.  I want to make sure cameras are checked and that girl with the braid hair gets written up.  She refused to tell me her name. If this is not resolved and TD bank hires such poor unprofessional, I will have no choice but to move all my business elsewhere.  I will request all my clients to move their business as well.  I understand, losing a few clients means nothing to your bank but I can not continue to go to a branch to get poor attitude people and no service.  And to have them ruin my evening for no reason at all. I called customer service as well to make the complaint which took over 30 minutes for a customer representative to get on the phone.  The phone customer service rep was good and she listened to my complaint and she said she will direct the complaint to the manager.  I have sent several mails directly from my business account and as of today, I still have not gotten a response. I email the store manager directly the same evening and even stop by the branch directly the next day to return the tube and make my deposits.  I spoke with the branch manager directly.  He told me I will get a personal and written apology from her but I did not get it yet. I feel this matter should be handle effectively as you do not want other customers to get this kind of unprofessional treatments.  She needs to be trained on how to treat customers instead of making false accussation for what she have done WRONG.  TD bank needs to hire professionals, someone who can handle this matter appropriately. Your prompt attention is greatly appreciated. Very upset Customer.

We paid our car of in March. The car was repossessed in July! The check was rejected, but not only was the money not returned, they did not give us any notice of the rejected check in which they cashed. Over the full day my wife and I spent trying to call and get our car back we probably got transferred back to the automated system at least twenty times and hung up on at least ten. It was an all Day process that got us knowhere. Worst customer service ever. It was the third car I've bought and paid off through them as well.

After commerce bank became TD it is probably list convenient Bank there is

The bank always overcharges for the overdraft. If the funds become available on the same day as the money withdrawn they charge overdraft fee claiming that the money was not there even if the statement clear shows that it was enough to cover expenses. The wait line on the phone is way to long and you basically cannot get any answers. The charge for "services" on my business account is 25.00 which are higher then other banks. Some time they hold the checks just for the fun of it claiming that they need to verify whatever even if I got the check from the same company that payed me many times before. In short the bank taking advantage at any possible occurrence. Even the Banks are supposedly most regulated industry in US it taking advantage of there customers evry which way

Store supervisor Olesya Glebova, TD Bank Brooklyn NY

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Absolutely Horrible. The "Store Supervisor" Olesya Glebova has no clue as to the rules and regulations of the banking world.

She refused to open a Business Checking account for me even after the folks at the 800 number said it was OK to do so. She claimed she needed a utility bill in the name of my business as proof of address. The problem is that it's a home based business and all bills come to my personal name. A legal form from the IRS with the business name, address, and Fed Tax ID# was not enough proof for her.

I finally went to another branch on Avenue U and opened the account without any issues.

She needs to be fired for lack of knowledge, failure to comply with corporate policy, and an obvious inability to think logically. Avoid this branch and this "store Supervisor" at all costs.

TD Bank Overall poor service

I helped family member open a secured account at TD bank. Here is the problems I had with just one account; 1 - I asked if they could send balance and transaction information by text and was told yes. Confirmed at TD location. They can only do low balance alerts. So 100% of the employees I spoke to are incompetent 2 - I asked for the secured card to be set up for $1,000. It took so long that an automatic deposit went in and then they just set up the account for $2,000. Family member used the card. 3 - When the account was paid, they put a hold on the account (even though there was $2,000 in the savings account to back it up.) and I was told 7 to 10 days to release hold. Now past 10 days money not available. I have used both credit unions and Wells Fargo (back to the First Union days) and have never had so many problems in all the years I have banked with them in total.

Would like to know what regulatory agency regulates this bank? They are rude and abusive!

This bank is a scam. I deposited a check. It showed funds available. The teller gave me money. Then the bank charged me a overdraft fee. Then the bank gave me a hard time about reversing the fee. I showed them my receipt showing funds available. They still argued with me. I said how was my account balance not available if the slip shows available and I had money in the account when I deposited the funds. This bank needs a few more lawsuits and maybe they will realize they should not be rude to customers and should treat them with respect. No wonder the bank was sued for cheating customers changing their money. Now they need to be sued for saying funds are available and poof they are not available the next day. Moreover, this bank writes your driver's license number of the reverse side of the check which is not allowed in New York if the customer objects. It is time for the Department of Financial Affairs in New York to intervene.

TD Bank charged my Overdraft fees for money that was there and was take out by them

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
This bank its horrible, I have an offset account and also had 3 accounts opened as well. When the offset account went to collections on June 15 this bank went and took money from both my personal checking and my daughters student checking leaving both accounts on 0, not satisfied with that now they are charging me NSF on the accounts for money that they took out anyways. This bank is a scam and rob people that live paycheck to paycheck for money that we don't have, I will continue to report this bank in every way possible until they stop robbing people for there money.

Notary refused by Christian Marte

I walked into the TD Bank in northern boulevard in queens and had to get something notarized. First of all, my mother is in a wheelchair and was treated like everyone else and not given special care. She had to wait over 2 hours because there were many people ahead of her. People were opening new accounts and having problems with their Accounts and sitting there for over one hour. My mom only needed 10 minutes of their time and had to wait all this time. So unreal! When she sits down with the notary Christian Marte he refuses to sign because she cant explain what's on the paperwork but neither did he try to explain it to her. He was a complete waste of time. We walked out and went elsewhere and got it done with no issue. Do not waste your time with this bank who don't care about their customers. Go elsewhere and get treated with respect. I took this issue straight to headquarters.

Phone service does not work,TD bank not most convienent bank

many customer complaints, Your computer problems are many. I have called up many times to get imformation on the phone and had to wait hours to get imformation because your phone service does not work. I have called up several times toget imformation and could not use my account number to get through. I had to wait about a half an hour ever time to get through to a customer service person. This is the only bank that You can not use the phone service. My card only works in TD banks ATM. I can not use it in any other banks except for Bank America, which cost me $3,00 touse. Tds computer system is messed up. This is the only bank when it prints a statement it does not give you all the transactions that was done and puts out the wrong available amount that you have in your account. TD banks are so spread out that you have to drive more than ahalf an hour toget to them. every time I do get to a bank that nfinaly allows me to use my card it cost me $3.00 You call yourself the most convienient bank but TD bank is the least convenient bank.

TD bank loan officer committed breach of trust and altered documents in Southern Ontario Branch

We did not take the loan out. We have no idea what type of loan the person who really did take it out.

I also forgot to mention that it was the loan officer,s bank,s manager who gave me the three papers with three different dates.

I somehow feel he knew we were innocent, wanted me to get a lawyer. But he did not act on the b...

Original review Nov 18, 2016
We were victims of a loan officers illegal activities. He falsified documents I from of us and made my husband sign a document he should not have since it was not his loan but a former business partner of his late wife,s.

The person who took out the loan owed us a great deal of money and we were there to collect a small portion of it in the amount of 40000.00. The loan officer told my husband he should sign as he had to show his manager in order for the cheque to be cashed. We were desperate and under great pressure. The person who took out the loan was placed on speaker phone and told us it was his loan and he would be in the next day to sign as sole guarantor as it was his loan.

So we lived our lives until 2 years later when threatened with a lien on our home. We went to the bank and reported this to the bank manager. We asked for him to call the police. He told us to get a lawyer and that the bank had an internal investigation department.

I asked for the loan officer and was told he did not work there. Actually when we returned home we were called by the loan officer but he asked for the name of the person who took out the loan. This made me wonder if so one at the bank told him we came in? Then I wondered this was wrong a breach of privacy as he had stolen our personal information.

He said he was asking for the other person as he was selling insurance. I asked him to help us and he said he could not as he signed a confidentiality agreement with TD. Hmmm? That was obviously broken as he stole information.

For 2 more years we called the bank ombudsman and bank. No one would help. They actually took us to court and did not even tell us we could be there to defend ourselves. I have seen that they presented the falsified document and stated that my husband and the other man were in on the day I was there.

I actually have in my possession 3 documents. One for 2 days before we were there. One for the day we were there and knew for the next day the other person signed as sole guarantor. They never showed the judge this.

That is illegal. The judge ruled that we must pay as we are guarantors. No evidence was made to the fact that their employee committed fraud. He ruled we must pay the entire amount of the persons loan and it was about 60000.00.

We did not pay as. I had tried to get help from other ombudsmen and government agencies. The bank would not admit this was their fault. Even the president of the bank would not help though he said he would.

They ended up placing a lien when we were selling our home.We had to pay 50000.00. Another person at. TD told me it was 40000.00. Another person 60000.00.That was a deal as they told me it was 70000.00.

I actually called the horrible man who took out the loan he told me he did not know we were involved and it was not our loan and he was guarantor. He told me to give them his phone number and for them to call him. He also said he signed off and payed them some money about 20000.00. I told the bank.

They never called him. And why did they lie about the amounts. Ombudsman office will not help. They never investigated this and have broken their code of conduct mandates.

I am thinking of naming the branch in a public forum as I cannot believe they think they can get away with this. I probably will as I have not received Our money back. Oh....I was also told by an employee that if I paid the lien there was a chance I would get the money back and they would help me. That is so wrong to trick us.

This was the Ombudsmans office. TD bank is not with the OBSI. They opted it and are not impartial when you have a problem. Why would the government allow this?

People that know us know this has been an injustice. My husband was actually diagnosed with a fatal illness. The bank knew this but still did this to us. They have to be accountable for the damages they have done to is.

I panic each time I see a delivery truck in my driveway. I have lost trust for this bank. I am offended and will never get over this. I feel like crying when.

I see their logo. I have nightmares as this money is a lot to us. It was stolen by this employees bad conduct and ruthless collections and lawyers.
Be careful what you sign.

When that gut feeling grips you go directly out the door. CIBC is very honest as is the Royal Bank. This bank if you read their code of conduct seems to be above board but in fact they are not.

Believe me. Pity the fool.

Resolved: I would like to see a policy change on how this bank discriminates against the disabled

Updated by user Mar 30, 2017

This bank gave a formal apology and are making sure this does not happen again, in their bank..They really understood and I feel that they were sincere in their apology. The disabled will have a much nicer experience in this bank, in the future...

Thanks for helping me to contact them and tell them what happened....I'm so glad I found this site..

Updated by user Mar 27, 2017

I definitely want this complaint submitted and addressed! I want this to be given to the ethics department or whoever deals with discrimination and policy changes.

The actual address of the bank, is in the Gmail..and I will send photos of the man who told us to stand in the line up....You have it on Video.

Please watch it. Thank you

Original review Mar 27, 2017
Discrimination and mistreatment of disabled man in wheelchair. I went with my son, to td bank on hastings and madison, in Burnaby bc. My son is badly hurt and paralyzed from the chest down. We were going to the bank to pick up his new td credit card. Td had closed off his card because of fraud, so we had to go to bank. I was with my disabled son and one of his care aids. Because there is no need to go to a teller for this card, I go to the only open teller and we wait for service. A man comes over and asks if we can get in the lineup. I tell him it's hard for Cory to sit too long and it's hard for him to sign on such a high counter. He said if we got into the lineup as soon as it was our turn, we could go back to where we came from and they would serve us there. We stood in the lineup for 20 minutes and when we were heading over to the shorter booth, they allowed someone in front of us , who never stood one second in the lineup..I told the lady we were forced to stand in the line up when we were already there, and first in line. She assured us it would only be a minute. 10 minutes later and she is still working with the customer they put in front of us.Finally a lady takes Cory to a teller and gives him his card. I told a friend what happened and he is going to bank to withdraw his money. Unbelievable! I took a picture, of this excuse of a man who made us stand in the line up. Every other bank, even other TD banks shows compassion to the disabled, and a teller will take us over to a customer service counter, or into the office to help him....Horrible treatment...Its hard enough to fight for his life everyday, and now we must fight to be treated with kindness at your bank.. This was Saturday afternoon from 1:00 to 2:30 aprox. Im sure the entire thing was on your video.....Check it out..I am hoping this bank changes its policy, and treats the weakest and sickest of our society in a considerate way.
