Terrible customer service/Waiter over an hour to open a new acct..and just LEFT.

Waited forever to open a new account -- they are super slow.They had 3 tellers working and two other employees roaming around...and told us to wait in the customer service area. After an hour -with no acknowledgment- we left. Btw I had opened account several years ago with my daughter - it took literally 90 mins to open a simple account..really?? Net Net - she closed her TD bank acct(other terrible customer service issues) and Im going to another bank.

Worst Fraud Department team

The Fraud department instead of protecting my account. They are giving me hard time to use card I have never disputed the transactions that I made before. I pay my balance before the end of billing cycle. However, they are not trained enough to solve issues unless you keep calling till you speak with someone know what he is doing. I have to make at least 3 calls till I can find someone who can solve the issue. you get a different answer each time. My app records my conversations with them. One day I have a hold on my card, four different employees each has a different answer about the problem. You can tell how cheap training they received in compare to other employees in Different banks. I have the records and log of calls with dates. Simply I have no phone number to complain to. TD BANK is not trust worthy company to deal with no transparency about where you can complain to. Poor attitudes and training.

Td does not care about customers any more

Canada Trust was a great place to Bank until TD took over. They don't offer the same free chequing account for seniors that other banks offer. They did not seem sorry for their mistakes and never apoligized for messing up our Line of credit

Please don’t get their gift card

I have a future expiration date and this gift card was never used. Customer service verified and said they will try to reactivate my card. I called them back after 10 days and am told that I need to ask the person who gave me the gift card to call and verify security questions. The customer service was so unprofessional, doesn’t follow up with you and is rude. They really don’t know anything. Also, how incongruent is it for me to ask someone who gave me the card to use it whenever and for whatever to call the customer service to verify things. They would really think this is scam. I called TD bank to verify instead of their gift card line and was told that what probably happened is that the gift card balance was probably ate up by occurring fees of $2.50/month. What the *** So if you use the gift card later, you might actually not have anything left on it. This is just hilarious. I’m so upset that they just took someone’s money away like that and am being told different information. Please do me a favor and never get their gift card. I would rather get the ones online or from American Express.

Insulting form letters for online banking issues

The form letters from customer service are irrelevant and frankly, quite insultingly dumb. I wrote that bill pay was not working and attached the error message and error number. The form letter told me they use "only the latest browsers and to check my browser." Now that, is stupid and insulting. I've been a customer for 20 years and online for 10. I am so tired now, so beat up by them so many times, I will find another bank. Done.

Td bank is the worst bank at this time in three years, i have three major problems with td bank, first i made a deposit through the tellers, tellers make my check at the wrong account it's two weeks for that to be solved, second I lost four hundreds dollars to my account its take another two weeks to solve, third I made a deposit through the atm 775.13 the atm reading 75.13 it another week it's a nightmare, frustrated to deal with all that high school kids the hire to be able paying them minimum wage Sad

The Fraud department frauds innocent customers

TD bank’s fraud department is horrible!!!! They clearly see the fraud stop the fraud give me the money of the fraud amount back but they are hesitant about crediting the overdraft fees caused by the fraud. Fair is fair if you determine is was fraud that means you have to reimburse the customer for the fees impacted on the account as well. They wait for you to realize instead of automatically reversing the fees themselves and when I did call in to claim the overdrafts be credited they actually gave me attitude. The call was over 45 minutes and the on call manager had to come to the phone and was also very rude. 2 months have passed and still waiting for a measly $70 be put back in to my account. This bank is defrauding customers daily with this trick BEWARE.

I had a similar problem like that with them.They are very well aware of these types of absolute fraud but make you the customer pay.Then they tell you that they no longer want you as a customer.They are on the side of the fraudsters.

Closed gift card took Bal. Right after checking bal

I was checking Bal on cards I was told there was 4 and 5 went to use an the bank closed card took Bal. Never said anything but Bal on phone expires 2026

They closed card took Bal b-4exp

I had a couple of gift cards called for Bal left then went to use them they wouldn't work they closed after I checked Bal .an took it they don't exp. Untill 2026 its unreal

Downhill all the way

I have been a business customer of theirs for 7 years. In the beginning, I was pleased and happy to pay the high fees because of the great late hours they had...had being the operative word, they are almost entirely gone now. They have to be desperate for money (probably why they cut back the hours). They no longer honor (as cash) a transfer from one account you have to another account you have within the bank. It now takes 2 days to clear.Pathetic...and are happy to say they think this is good customer service. Run before they ruin you!!!!!

Yes, do not open an account with this bank. They are deplorable.

Your money is their money until they are good and ready to allow you to use it. An ATM deposit takes 4 days to clear and become available to you.

I know of no other bank in the U.S. that has this policy and TD should be prohibited from doing the same.

Zero debit card fraud protection while traveling in Mexico

My wife used our debit card at a small jewelry stire in Mexica along with oth members traveling with us. A charge of 81 dollars for a purchase went through then under another name and unauthorized by us was put in for $ 1005.00. Td bank stopped the charge. At the same time the other couple recieved a fraud alert call saying there was 682.00 tried and there bank of america stopped it. I got no alert and checked my account when i got to the resort. I saw what was tried and IMMEDIATE canceled the debit cards. 6 hours later SAME PERSON PUTS THROUGH 1002.00 AND TD BANK PAYS IT. NEXT DAY SAME PERSON WHEN I WAS IN ROUT BACK TO USA THEY TRY AGAIN FOR 1005.00 TD BANK STOPS IT. 3 FRAUS CKAIMS DENIED BY TD AND WAS TOLD IT WAS NOT FRAUD. WTF. THEY HAVE NO PROTECTION AND NEVER USE YOUR CARD OUTSIDE USA OR YOU CAN LOOSE YOUR MORTGAGE PAYMENT LIKE ME. I AM RETIRED AND GOING TO THE LOCAL NEWS AND WILLL START PICKING UN FRONT OF MY LOCAL BRANCH AND LOOK FOR MY UTUBE VIDEO OF MY EXPERIENCES THIS WEEKEND.

Identity Theft

I went to the notary (TD bank) to get something stamped. Normally, I pay close attention whenever I need to show my ID. My fault. Please pay attention. I am pretty anal when it comes to this. I let my guard down. I have seen her before. Never let your guard down. I called the bank to ask if she had my License. No. My fault. Do not trust. She never gave my ID back. Please pay attention.
